Recordings, recording devices, and human approaches to arts and crafts as entertainments and advertisement have limited our ability to explore the hidden potentials of sound, sound making, sound sharing, and sound healing. Deep inside of nests, burrows, caves, hills, using sonar and chirps, whistles and clicks animal and ghost and god species are continually teaching the arts and sciences of sounding. The Animist Lodge Research Society remains committed to exploring new uses for recordings, recording devices, and making sounds, medicines, and images that may loosen the binds of shallow cultures of entrainment and mimicry. Nostalgia, my fellow creatures, is keeping you lost and longing for an impossible outcome. Come with us into another place, into a burrow, into a cave, into interspecies learning and sharing.
